Not Another was created in May 2022 by Jack Sweeney and Will Warmath, two longtime friends with a passion for cooking. After traveling abroad, Sweeney and Warmath moved to Asheville in January 2022. Sweeney started as a line cook under Andrew McLeod at the former Avenue M, while Warmath joined Evan Chender’s team at The Culinary Gardener. After nearly two and a half years of experience working in some of their favorite kitchens in Asheville—and along the way, teaming up with Grey Sigmon (bar manager at Tall John's)—the team has produced over 25 unique seasonal menus. What originally started as a passion project, marked by many late and rowdy nights, has now become a concise and thoughtful restaurant concept.
